The Absinthe Mead Base is a Czech specialty absinthe. After the aromatic absinthe herbs are macerated from the garden in a three-year honey mead, the distillation takes place . The special in this absinthe Mead Base is that instead of neutral alcohol from grain or wine alcohol just honey mead used to maceration . Even the honey from the honey mead this is done, is produced by the distillery Zufanek itself . The unique aroma of sweet honey paired with the bitter taste of wormwood and the influences of anise, fennel , hyssop and wormwood pontic , gives a unique Absinthe with its own unique character.
