Absinthe La Maison Fontaine is made from 15 different herbs and is a genuine La Blanche from France. This means, that it is a pure distillate, which is transparent. The manufacturer recommends also a drinking ritual, that embodies freshness. You should add a few slices of cucumber in the water carafe or fontaine to the fresh water to achieve an even fresher taste at the dilution by the fresh water. This sounds similar to the original cocktail Pims, which someone will know. La Maison Fontaine Absinthe was actually intended for the Asian market, but the Emile Pernot distillery found this fresh La Blanche also suitable for Europe. The 15 herbs, that are needed for the Absinthe La Maison Fontaine, are picked by hand at the Jura Mountains, not far from Pontarlier.
