This is absinthe the way it was first produced, more than 200 years ago in Pontarlier, the earlier Mecca to the true absinthe connoisseur. The taste speaks for itself: It plays sharply and freshly, with an aroma that hints at finely selected herbs. It is apparent that this absinthe contains a very high amount of anise.
Francois Guy Absinthe was prized at the Absinthiades festival in 2002 and 2003 for the golden Absinthe Spoon, an award given to the best French Absinthe. This is the .5L bottle version. If you look carefully, you can see evidence of the Golden Spoon award on the label.
