Serpis Absinthe is a traditional absinthe from Spain. Its roots began in the 19th century. At that time, a handful of little distilleries around Alicante began absinthe production. In 1964, these distilleries joined together to form Licores Sinc.
The red color of Serpis Absinthe lends it a unique place in the absinthe world. This is a very quality product with a complex manufacturing process. This absinthe is not macerated; it is distilled. No extra wormwood essence is added. Rather, the thujone is obtained directly from the entire wormwood plant! The taste is mild, complex and balanced, perfect for cocktails and long drinks. This makes Serpis Absinthe a must-have for any bartender. Instead of the usual green-to-white louche effect, the addition of water to Serpis Absinthe causes it to turn a mesmerizing apricot color.
